NATIONAL LAMPOON'S ANIMAL HOUSE
This cult masterpiece is #1 in Bravo's 100 Funniest Movies of all time!
LepreCon Inc., purveyors of Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Media Presents:
"NATIONAL LAMPOON'S ANIMAL HOUSE"
DON'T MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE IT ON THE BIG SCREEN!
The film answers many important questions:
What exactly is double secret probation?
How does one crush a beer can on the forehead?
How many uses are there for a shopping cart?
When are "Seven years of College down the drain"?
Director John Landis put himself on the map with this low-budget, fabulously successful comedy that continues to resonate, which made a then-astounding 62 million dollars and started a slew of careers for its cast in the process. National Lampoon's Animal House is set in 1962 on the campus of Faber College in Faber, PA. Incoming freshmen Larry "Pinto" Kroger (Tom Hulce) and Kent "Flounder" Dorfman (Stephen Furst) find themselves rejected by the pretentious Omega fraternity, and instead pledge to Delta House. The Deltas are a motley fraternity of rejects and maladjusted undergraduates whose main goal is disrupting the staid, peaceful, rigidly orthodox, and totally hypocritical social order of the school. The Deltas, oblivious to the danger they're in, are having a great time, steeped in irreverence, mild debauchery, and occasional drunkenness, led by the seniors and pledge master John "Bluto" Blutarsky (John Belushi). They're given enough rope to hang themselves, but even then manage to get into comical misadventures, culminating in the commission of one last, utterly senseless (and funny) act of rebellion, ---Source: Rotten Tomatoes "The movie is vulgar, raunchy, ribald, and occasionally scatological. It finds some kind of precarious balance between insanity and accuracy, between cheerfully wretched excess and an ability to reproduce the most revealing nuances of human behavior." ---R. Ebert
