We will look at the different reasons we waste food, such as improper food storage which leads food to spoil too soon. The biggest chunk of the presentation is spent on what you can do in your homes to prevent wasted food. Sanne will introduce five strategies for preventing food waste spending the most time on SMART Storage, which is currently the main focus of the Eat Smart, Waste Less Challenge. As part of the presentation, you can participate in an interactive activity sorting different fruits and vegetables into areas where they should be stored.
