From dreams to delusions, writer-performer Kyle Stockburger relays stories from his own hero's journey as he finds solace and escape in the cinematic greats of the follow-your-dreams oeuvre of the late 90s/early 00s, including Crossroads, Center Stage, Save the Last Dance, and of course, Coyote Ugly. Aplomb with pop cultural references, "The Real Coyote Ugly" is a celebration of the fictional narratives and characters that inspire us even as we come to terms with the realization that real life doesn't have montage sequences.
BIOGRAPHY
KYLE STOCKBURGER
Kyle is a theatre artist based in New York City. He has performed at: Dixon Place; Chashama Studios; Theatre for the New City; with the CalArts Center for New Performance at REDCAT (Downtown Los Angeles); UDG at the Teatro Experimental (Guadalajara, Mexico). His written work includes the play "4some" and the musical revue "What I Did For Love." He holds an MFA in Acting from CalArts.
