The Building a Sustainable Earth Community Coalition is bringing internationally known guest speaker and author David Korten to Kansas City to present on his latest book, The Great Turning.

The conference will begin on Friday, November 2, 2007 with a multi cultural event from 7pm-11pm showcasing local artists, presenters, and a marketplace of groups and businesses promoting the building of a sustainable Earth community.

Saturday, November 3 features the marketplace exhibits between 8 am - 4 pm; Kansas Poet Laureate Denise Low; David Korten's keynote address at 9 am; and workshop sessions on art, community, communication, environment, health, justice, resources, science, spirituality, politics and racism in both morning and afternoon. A closing ceremony from 3-4 pm will conclude the event.

Advance registration of $50.00 per person reserves access to Friday nights event and lunch on Saturday with continued dialogue with David Korten, and also permits us to offer a general admission of $1.00 per day to the broader community.

Registration and vendor forms are processed through People's Culture, P.O. Box 5224, Kansas City, Kansas 66119, or contact Fred W. at 913-342-6379.
