Based on a short story by Honore de Balzac, "A Passion in the Desert", tells the tale of a man who falls in love with a desert leopard only to lose the love of his life in a moment of misunderstanding. It ended as all true love affairs do end
Told through an artful Arabic mélange of music, movement, and language, "Silk and Sand" weaves a web of truth and lies into a tapestry of international intrigue tall tales from the Western World encounter the intricate interweavings of the Middle East, spread out in ambient acts across an elegant evening of aerial acrobatics, dance, storytelling and shadows.
