SF welcomes the World Carnaval tour featuring SambaFunk! Carnaval Family
Saturday March 31th 2012 marks the date when the World Carnaval Tour featuring SambaFunk! hits the streets of San Francisco. Delores Park will be the place of fun & funk for all ages. While SambaFunk! kicks off their 2012 Carnaval Registration Drive with a family BBQ and music in the park; San Francisco community leaders and politicians will be on hand to re-opening the children's park. This much awaited occasion is open to the public. SambaFunk! will be participating with a short Children's Carnaval Jump Up led by King Theo & the FunkTyme Playahs.
As the day turns into the nite, the Carnaval action shifts to the Bissap Baobab Village. This 5th stop of the World Carnaval will be full of African flavors, African party music by special guests and San Francisco's #1 DJ Sake 1. Dance the night away with live music and live Brazilian samba performances by the FunkTyme Playahs, King Theo, and the Queens and Lords of SambaFunk!
The World Carnaval Tour featuring SambaFunk! continues its journey towards the San Francisco Carnaval explosion in May 2012! Come see the performances and be prepared to embark on a rhythmic adventurea world-wide tour of Mardi Gras-Carnaval culture, a journey of JOYlet your SOUL lead the way. A funky, fun-filled night of music and dance is guaranteed.
