The Preservation Society of Charleston is pleased to announce an unexpected opportunity.

Alastair Bruce of Crionaich, OBE, will be making a presentation in Charleston to benefit the Preservation Society.

Mr. Bruce is the Royal, Constitutional and Religious Commentator for Sky News Television in the United Kingdom. He  is consultant on historical details to "Downton Abbey", and the Royal Family for ceremonial occasions. He has also been the historical detail consultant for "The Kings Speech", "Young Victoria" and the new PBS series "Indian Summers".

The William Rhett House, built in 1712, is one of the oldest houses in Charleston and rarely opened to the public. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house has experienced almost the entire history of the city, and sits in a beautiful large private garden.

Tickets $100 for Members and $125 for non-members. Ticket price includes the Presentation and Reception at the William Rhett House, 54 Hasell Street
