As You Like It (A New Adaptation)
AS YOU LIKE IT (A NEW ADAPTATION) by Strangeloop Theatre
The irreverent show leaps out of Shakespeare's restrictive, courtly environs and explores the wilderness of Arden from a wholly new perspective. Connecting classic with contemporary, the piece collaboratively reworks familiar characters and situations into an interactive, modern, playful experience. Join Orlando, Rosalind, Celia, Jaques, and Touchstone on a surprising new road, exploring whether all the world truly is a stage.
Playing at Trap Door Theatre (1655 W. Cortland St., Chicago), performances will run Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. through May 6. There is no show on April 8 (Easter Sunday). Tickets are $15 ($10 for students and seniors) and are available at www.strangelooptheatre.org or by calling Strangeloop directly at 773-757-6689.
