Songwriters in the Round

Lisa Redfern brings three talented Maine songwriters to perform in an intimate, unplugged setting in Frontier's theatre for an evening of compelling songs and stories:

Paddy Mills lives in a little homestead he built on the coast of Maine. He plays over 150 shows, splits four cords of wood, and goes to at least a dozen baseball games a year. As a songwriter, Paddy has a knack for the overlooked. He knows that common sense is not so common, and simple truths are not so simple. With a hitch-hikers heart and a back pack full of notebook philosophy, Paddy leaves you grinning like you've just been let in on a secret -- one that you might just have known all along.

Rj openly admits that she's something of a late bloomer. She started her music career a little later in life after years working in health care and she's been making up for lost time, racking up accolades and awards ever since. Adam Nordell performs lyrically rich songs on guitar and five string banjo accompanied by driving foot percussion - cowboy boots on oak. Born in Montana and bouncing back and forth between the Rocky Mountains and an organic farm in western Maine, Nordell writes and sings song about place and our relationship to place, and borrows inspiration from old time and early country music.
