THE SHADOW
ON THURSDAY, OCT. 29th, and FRIDAY, OCT. 30th, for the first time in 70 years, the PETALUMA RADIO PLAYERS will bring two episodes of the classic 1940s radio drama, THE SHADOW, out from hiding.

FLAMES OF DEATH -- Why are so many people associated with the chemical company burning up? It's not because they're mad. It's because of the mad man who wants them dead.

DEATH IN THE TOMB -- One by one, citizens in the big city are taking extended -- like 10 year extended -- vacations. Who is putting them into deep sleep and why did they kick him out of dental school?

Both scripts for THE SHADOW were written by Verne and Helen Jay, the parents of Petaluma resident and Petaluma Radio Players troupe member Linda Jay.

These classic radio dramas featuring an excitingly fresh and talented cast who were born for their roles, are coming to life in the DeCarli Trolley Barn at 110 Baylis Street (off E. Washington St.) in downtown Petaluma. The venue: a 1903 Trolley Museum equipped with historic rail cars out back. (Trust us. You'll love it.)

Proceeds go to support the nonprofit Petaluma Trolley Living History Railway Museum.

General Seating Tickets: $25  A wine and cheese bar on-location. Musical entertainment on Oct. 29th by 'BROOKE AND THE CATERPILLAR' Musical entertainment on Oct. 30th TBA.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE 'AUTOZONE' LOT. THE BEST PARKING IS ACROSS WASHINGTON STREET IN THE (FORMER) GOLDEN EAGLE SHOPPING CENTER LOT. PARKING IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON BOTH SIDES OF BAYLIS ABUTTING THE DeCarli Trolley Barn.


DISCLAIMER:  The live-on-stage performance of 'THE SHADOW' involves an entire community of actors, foley artists, sound designers, and musicians who will recreate the look, feel, and experience of an actual live radio program from the 1940s. This is a pilot program which we hope to parlay into actual live and pre-recorded broadcasts premiering 2016. However, to abide by licensing requests of the copyright holder, CONDE-NAST, which has graciously granted us permission to breathe new life into the two episodes we're performing live, we will not be recording or broadcasting any of the shows you will see on October 29th or 30th. Audience members who attend either performance night, will receive a special discount on future live broadcasts.
