Water Music: Rain
The Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia's "Water Music" festival continues with "Rain," a concert of Baroque and Romantic chamber music inspired by storms and raindrops. Performing are 10 renowned musicians from Europe, Canada and the USA. Musical selections include Beethoven's viola quintet, Chopin's "Raindrop" prelude, and stormy music by Vivaldi and Rameau.
"Water Music" is one of the chamber music festivals CMSCVA presents annually, this time programmed around the remarkable and evocative music inspired by water. The series brings together ten celebrated musicians - international competition winners, favorite performers from Richmond's classical music scene, and world-class soloists - to bring this thrilling music to life in concerts in our modernist venue at the First Unitarian Church, and the Gellman Room of the Main Public Library in downtown Richmond.
