Larry Merculieff: Teachings From the Womb
SATURDAY: Members, $25; Non-Members, $50 (includes Sat. admission). This presentation will focus on remembering the "Original Instructions" and "Natural Laws " given to humanity before the beginning of time to ensure harmony and balance. Particular emphasis will be given to the role of women and the "Womb at the Center of the Universe" in creating sacred space that ensures we are not trying to solve problems from a disconnected consciousness and paradigm.
Larry Merculieff has had a long and successful career in environmental service. From 20002003, he served as the Director of the Department of Public Policy and Advocacy in the Rural Alaska Community Action Program. In that capacity he led the largest subsistence rights march in Alaska's history and was instrumental in protecting Alaska Native salmon and halibut traditional fishing rights. He was also co-founder and former chairman of the Alaska Indigenous Council on Marine Mammals; former chairman of the Nature Conservancy, Alaska chapter; former co-director of the Native American Fish and Wildlife Society, Alaska chapter; as well as co-founder of the International Bering Sea Forum, the Alaska Forum on the Environment, and the Alaska Oceans Network
