Bindi Society CD Celebration
Celebrate Mother's Day with the Bindis in an afternoon of eclectic, rhythmic and otherworldly global and classical music with instruments from Europe, Africa and Asia. The afternoon concert will feature the Bindi Society, and world-renowned Baroque flute virtuosos Stephen Schultz and Mindy Rosenfeld of Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra. The Bindi Society's music is inspired by an array of global traditions accentuated by a deep love of ancient languages. Haunting vocals sung in Ancient Gaelic, Sanskrit, Hebrew and English accompany classically-tinged groove harp, harmonium and world percussion--including marimba and santur. Stephen Schultz will dazzle and delight, demonstrating his unique method of extending his classical roots on processed baroque flute and Hümmelchen (german pipes). Their NEW CD, Falling in Light will be available and is already streaming on Bandcamp.com.
