Global Culinary Series: A Portuguese Lunch
Be transported to Portugal by a special menu of classic Portuguese dishes: collard greens soup, bacalhau (codfish gratin with shrimps, carrots, onions and potatoes), carne de porco a alentejana (traditional specialty of pork loin and Manila clams in white wine and bell pepper with fried potatoes, cilantro and lemon), and for dessert, paseis de nata (the traditional custard tarts sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar), the tarts that everyone in Lisbon lines up to purchase as they come out of the ovens. Portuguese wines will be served with each course.
