Anecdotal Evidence - An Evening of Storytelling
Serendipity is looking in a haystack for a needle and discovering a farmer's daughter. - Julius Comroe Jr.
Join us for an evening of storytelling from your friends and neighbors about instances of practicing the art of making an unsought finding, or, as we like to call it "Serendipity".
This very special installment of the Anecdotal Evidence storytelling series includes a performance by the Dolly Pops Dance Troupe and other special surprises brought to you by our sponsor Broadsheet 360.
Our very talented line up includes Special Guest Host Temple Lentz, the author of Vancouver's favorite snark-blog, The Daily 'Couve, and writer for a whole bunch of other places, including the Portland Mercury and Live Wire. Storytellers: Andrea Damewood, who talks to middle-aged white men for a living. Humor and sarcasm have become her life raft in a sea of gray. Beth Harrington, a Bostonian by birth, a Vancalope by marriage, who has made a critically acclaimed, financially questionable career for herself as a documentary filmmaker. Lisa Miller, who likes to take time out from being the leader of her band, Lisa & Her Kin, and being a manager at Powells Books, to tell a few good stories for anyone who will listen. Andrew Berkowitz is the Artistic Director of Portland's ComedySportz theatre, where he teaches and performs improv, sketch and stand-up comedy. He is also a playwright and a contributor to magazines, newspapers and blogs. When not making people laugh, Andrew is a founder and VP of Product Management at TeamSnap.
