Fired Up!
Fired by Friday was started in febuary of 2011 by singer and bass player Trey, due to bordem and down time cause his singer of his old band the casual felons got a job as production manager for ty stone on kid rocks 2011 north american tour.
He wanted the lyrics to be personal and about stuff that every day working class people like him could relate to.
He wrote all the songs around his guitar pl...ayer Vinnie Vains ( frontman and lead guitarist of Johnny RoastBeef) guitar playing style.
he wanted a 1950's chuck beery rock'n roll feel mixed with some johnny cash, george thorogood and sprinkled some new york dolls. and the result of that was fired by friday.
trey, like many people has ADD, so the songs are perfect for people with short attention span. short and to the point. they are like traditional 1950's songs not many are longer than 2:30
- a little about the band-
marc tramontana aka Trey
is a singer song writer, and is a very versitile bass player. from playing super fast metal, to all kinds of punk to blues and country. he loves to play the bass.
he has played for such bands as The Mondays, Filled in on occasion for Pat V and Detroit 3, played bass for general Bastard on the 2010 Mentors "manly masked man tour" filled in on bass for his favorite local band of all "johnny roastbeef" and played bass for the casual felons and is a member of the music collective group called the inside outlaws.
Greg Amadori aka Vinnie Vains-
is one of Detroit's finest songwriters and guitar players he is not a flashy guitar player but i can guarantee that he can make a one note solo sound better and more classy than the most flashiest gutar player. he keeps it simple and simple is good. vinnie vains was and still is front man and guitarist for the punk rock band johnny roastbeef. they hit it hard for over a year and then took a break do to conflicting schedules.
kevin voss aka k-voss
kevin is actually one hell of a guitar player/shredder but opted to take on the drums for fired by Friday and he is damn good at it. kevin is a jack of all trades. from being able to play all instruments he also records and mixes his own music. kevin voss is a man of many talents.
he has played for such bands as "Friend of the Court" and is a active member and very important part of the music collective group called the inside out laws
jessie olenski AKA- J-Rhythm
j-rhythm started playing guitar @ 18 and has done nothing but grow since. j- rhythm comes from a death metal and hardcore punk background but jams all types of music. his rhythm guitar brings the depth and fullness that fired by Friday needs. j-rhythm has played in a few bands that aren't worth mentioning. but has a awesome ear for music and has just been waiting for his chance to play in a kick ass rock n roll band.
