Ten Tracks presents Holy Ghosts feat Little Otik
The Holy Ghosts, formed in the summer of 2011 are a five piece band from Edinburgh playing Rock n' Roll with a splash of Country and a dash of the Blues. Drawing influences from The Band, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Johnny Cash, Iggy and the Stooges and Chuck Berry, they convey dirty 60s rock n roll with a modern twist often drawing comparisons with that of the Stones during their Exile on Main Street era.
Members include Jack Sandison (The Stagger Rats), Jon Mackenzie (The Complete Stone Roses), Rory Penman, Jonny Rapeseed and Andy Barbour. Performing live remains the groups forte with the use of razor sharp guitars, honky tonk piano, spine tingling three part harmonies and charismatic stage presence make The Holy Ghosts the band to watch in 2012.
The Edinburgh five piece have already been making an impact on the Scottish music scene with a sold out show at The Voodoo Rooms, also supporting Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays) at The Liquid Rooms and securing a monthly residency gig in the nations capital. The band have recently been in the studio recording the first half of their debut album. The first few singles will be available for download in the Spring.
"The Holy Ghosts are the best live on the Scottish music scene by far"
Owen Morris - Record Producer
"The Holy Ghosts could be the result of an experiment concocted by Keith Richards and Gram Parsons after being locked in a basement for 2 weeks."
David Hanvey-My First Music Director/Booker
