In the Heart of the Sea screening - History Film Forum
Ron Howard's latest film IN THE HEART OF THE SEA based on Nathaniel Philbrick's National Book Award winning work about the tragic story of the New England whaling ship Essex. This story, which was as renowned in the 19th century as the sinking of the Titanic was in the 20th, inspired Herman Melville's classic novel Moby-Dick and captured the nation's imagination with the struggle of the ship's remaining crew members as they fought to survive the unrelenting perils of the sea. IN THE HEART OF THE SEA opens in theaters on December 11, 2015. A discussion with Mr. Philbrick follows the screening.
This is a high demand screening with limited seating available.
Working journalists are advised that this screening is NOT intended for critical review.
