October 2015 Vancouver Program: Working With the Different Generations in the Workplace
Can you motivate a Millennial?  Does GenX only care about work/life balance?  What's important to the Baby Boomers and Traditionalists?  There are currently four different generations working in the workplace so who are they and how are they influenced?  In this informative session, you will meet the four generations and find out what they value and what influences play a key role in their viewpoints on career, training, job change and rewards.  We will also discuss communication tips to use with each of the generations.

Key Learning Outcomes:

Understand the four generations in today's workplace.
Learn each generation's key values.
Recognize career viewpoints for each generation.
Investigate training viewpoints for each generation.
Define job change, reward and feedback needs for each generation.
Explore communication tips for each generation.
About the Presenter:  

Seniye Groff, MEd, is the owner of Groff Solutions, a consulting practice focused on human resources, training, management coaching and organizational development initiatives.  Prior to owning her own practice, she was the Vice President of Creative and Client Services at Via Training. Her focus was developing blended learning programs that improved sales force effectiveness. Seniye brings an expertise in training, recruitment and management with a particular focus on maximizing performance while building team spirit and achieving organizational goals.

She also held positions at The Gap, Nike, Gymboree and Stancorp Financial. She holds a Master's of Science in Adult Training and Development and is an adjunct Professor at Clark College.  She served on the board of ASTD-Cascadia Chapter for three years. She is the winner of several corporate awards recognizing outstanding performance.  She has authored articles and presented to national audiences on best practices for effective training.  Seniye has succeeded both internally and externally with a wide spectrum of organizations private and public, and varying in size and industry.

Seniye also volunteers at Dress for Success. Seniye has been involved with Dress for Success since 1999.  She has found her experience with Dress for Success particularly rewarding because she is able to help women make long lasting changes in their own lives.
