Fort Myers Derby Girls Present Shamrock & Roll, a Roller Derby Bout.
The Fort Myers Derby Girls host their 2nd home bout of the season on Sunday, March 25th at Bamboozles Skating Center, 2095 Andrea Lane in Fort Myers. The league is asking attendees to bring along donations to help out Lee County's PACE Center for Girls. Donated items requested are accessories to wear to prom. Acceptable items would be jewelry, sunglasses, fragrance, nail polish, purses or any used items that would be appropriate to wear to a school dance. Please save dresses for a future dress drive. The Fort Myers Derby Girls will battle the Dub City Derby Girls from West Palm Beach, Florida. Doors open at 5:45, the bout starts at 6pm.
PACE Center for Girls, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation that provides a non-residential delinquency prevention program in locations state-wide, targeting the unique needs of females 12 to 18 who are identified as dependent, truant, runaway, delinquent, or in need of academic skills. Its purpose is to intervene and prevent school withdrawal, juvenile delinquency, teen pregnancy, substance abuse and welfare dependency in a safe and nurturing environment. Location: Bamboozles Skating & Events Center (formerly Generations Skating Center. Bamboozles is located at 2095 Andrea Lane in Fort Myers.
Doors open at 5:45p.m. Game Begins at 6:30p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Note: Seating is limited, so we encourage you to bring a foldable chair in case all seating is taken. Stay after the bout for a special after party where you can meet and skate with the Ft. Myers Derby Girls.
