Founders Fest 2012
FOUNDERS FEST 2012 - A Celebration of Beer & Music is our BIGGEST party of the year, a street-wide celebration of everything we love and all that makes Founders what it is today: some of the world's greatest beer, incredible live music, killer grub from local favorites, and wearables and shareables from some of the area's finest artisans.
Founders Fest is an all-day event, and takes place on the street in front of the brewery, under the sun and the beautiful blue late June sky.

Founders Fest takes place from 311pm, and is a ticketed, strictly 21+ event. Re-entry will be allowed based on capacity, and is not guaranteed. Tickets will be available beginning April 20th on-site in our taproom, as well as on this site! 2012 Mug Club Members can purchase one advanced ticket for themselves at a discounted rate (with proof of membership). Tickets will also be available at the gates day-of after the event begins, ONLY IF capacity allows.
2012 promises to be the BIGGEST, BEST Founders Fest ever! Two stages will highlight musical entertainment, a giant beer tent will have all of your Founders favorites flowing all day long, and roving entertainers will keep you, well, entertained.
The Cottage Bar, Sami's Pita House, and The Corner Bar of Rockford, and others will be serving up their sizzling, signature specialties to feed your cravings. Additionally, an even more-expansive Artists Row will showcase the wares of some of the finest local artists, and both Founders Fest and band merchandise will be available for you to wear with pride!
And some bullet points, to be 100% clear:
-What: Founders Fest 2012: A Celebration of Beer and Music. Our biggest party, and a thank you to the city of Grand Rapids, and the community that has made us what we are today.
-When: Saturday, June 23rd from 311pm
-Where: The streets surrounding Founders Brewing Co., located at 235 Grandville Avenue SW. Entry gates will be located at the north end of the festival grounds, near the intersection of Grandville and Cherry Street. The brewery itself will be closed all day, as this is an outdoor event.
-How much: Advance tickets will be available in the Taproom and online at www.FoundersBrewing.com beginning on Friday, April 20th. Tickets are $20 for the General Public, and $15 for 2012 Mug Club Members (show your 2012 Mug Club ID Card to receive discount). Day-of tickets will be available at the gate for $25.
Note: Founders Fest is a cash-only event; please come prepared to increase speed of service, though ATMs will be available on site.
-Who's playing?: Soulive, Toubab Krewe, Seth Bernard & May Erlewine and friends, That 1 Guy, Ultraviolet Hippopotamus, Four Finger Five, The Soil and the Sun, The Crane Wives, Afro Zuma, The FBC All-Stars (a crazed supergroup featuring only Founders employees), and more!!
-I'm going to be hungry: Food vendors include: The Cottage Bar, Maggie's Kitchen, Sami's Pita House, and The Corner Bar of Rockford.
-I'm [always] thirsty: All of your Founders Favorites as well as quite-a-few surprises and n/a beverages will be available in our massive beer tent. Tickets are required for all beverage purchases, and can be purchased at various locations around the festival grounds.
Note: Founders Fest is a 'green festival'. Please help us in our efforts to make a minimal environmental impact! Recycle what can be recycled, compost what can be composted, and trash what you must. A clean, green festival is a cool, happy festival!
-What if it rains?: Founders Fest is a rain-or-shine event!
-How do I get there?: Usage of public transportation is HIGHLY encouraged. Founders is located directly across the street from The Rapid's Central Bus Station. Founders is located within walking distance of much of downtown, and bike parking will be available for those choosing to come on two wheels. Parking is available on-street, in the Ellis parking lots, and in the city's many lots around the brewery. Coming from out-of-town? Book your hotel room now!
-What can't I bring?: No kids, no pets, no glass, no growlers, no outside food or beverage, (water in a sealed bottle is OK), no brewery tours, no weapons, no contraband, no bad attitudes. Founders Fest is strictly an "Ages 21+" event. Violators will be asked to leave. Founders Brewing Co. reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove anyone from the event, at their discretion.
Note: Both the taproom and company store will be closed to the public ALL DAY. Founders Fest is a 100% outdoor event.

Most beers will cost 2 tickets ($4/pint), the same price we charge on a normal day. Water and other non-alcoholic beverages will be 1 ticket each ($2). |
