Tea Workshop: Pu'er, the "Drinkable Antique"
Pu'er tea is known for its complexity as well as confusion regarding its history and cultivation. Pu'er tea appears to have it all: it's been a tribute tea for emperors and an "everyday" tea served in Dim Sum houses. The ability for a good Pu'er to be aged like fine wine means old Pu'er is often faked but authentic cakes are highly coveted. Join Angie Lee of 1001 Plateaus and Linda Louie of Bana Tea Company for a focused tasting of this "drinkable antique" where we will taste different vintages, harvest seasons, and varieties of Pu'er.
