The Milwaukee Journal has called native-son, Craig Siemsen, "...a fabulous recording artist..." joining others in their praise of his "lyrical guitar picking and mellow vocal style." (The Coffee House, Milwaukee). Drawn to music at a very early age, Craig taught himself to play guitar by ear and quickly learned to use his voice as an instrument to communicate his own music. Living for music, Craig began playing in bars, coffee houses and concert halls; and at a music festival in Milwaukee he met Patty Stevenson, who would become his partner in music and in life.
Like Craig, Patty grew up in a family in love with music, in its many diverse and wondrous forms. One grandfather built violins and wrote over two hundred songs to delight his many grandchildren. Another performed in a Dixieland jazz band while his mother toured the world and was part of the Women's Symphony Orchestra of Chicago. While pursuing a college major in piano performance, music therapy and music education, she began writing her own music, and in time was drawn to the informality and fun of folk. "I try for magic, nothing less!" she admits, "...for the place that opens hearts and will move an audience to tears or smiles."
The Madison Wisconsin Capitol Times calls Craig's and Patty's music "an acoustically good marriage," and Patty herself sees their relationship as a wonderful blend both off and on stage. Known for their gorgeous harmonies, impeccable musicianship (how could it be otherwise!), playful stage humor and jewel-like original songs, Patty and Craig have enchanted audiences as both solo performers and harmonic husband and wife. They have criss-crossed the continent in live performances from Arizona to Connecticut and delighted listeners on radio from Santa Fe, New Mexico to far away Radio Slovenija.
