Discover traditional yoga practices that will provide access to health and wholeness in this community yoga class!
The first 8 weeks will build on basics such as diaphragmatic breathing; synchronized breath with movement and traditional yoga poses to create proper postural awareness and alignment.
Each class will focus on a different theme ex. Spinal health; shoulders; hips; twists etc - depending on who participates.
Requirements: yoga mat
Instructor: Susan Culpepper has practiced yoga for over 20 years received over 700 plus hours of yoga teacher training in traditional hatha yoga styles. Susan Culpepper was the co-founder of a post Hurricane Katrina community yoga project, Earth Path Yoga, and was a full time yoga teacher on the Mississippi Gulf Coast prior to relocating to Oxford with her family.
Susan enjoys sharing her love of yoga with others and will offer a safe and complete yoga experience to all who attend. Susan's yoga classes are alignment based and would not be considered vigorous or power (flow) yoga.
Prices: Drop in rate: $10 per class Semester: $150 for YAC members or $165 for non-members
Drop ins can pay at the Powerhouse. The semester price option will be available until October 12th so come give it a try first if you'd like!
