Mystic Chorale "The Sun will Never Go Down"
The flowers are blooming forever. The sun will never go down
These words are the inspiration for our Fall concert. We'll celebrate the Earth and the sacredness of life through such songs as the joyful blessing, "Birkat Hamazon", the Brazilian dance, "Maculele", and Shawna Carol's reflective piece "Blessed Be". We'll invite our audience to sing-along. We'll perform a new piece by Nick Page, "Choose to Bless The World" with words by Rebecca Parker and a favorite old piece with a new ending, "Honey in the Rock". The highlight of the program is a new piece by Mystic Gospel Director, Jonathan Singleton commissioned by the Mystic Chorale - a world premiere freely based on the Beatitudes text ("Blessed are the peacemakers"). Please join us for this joyous beginning to our 2007-2008 season.
