Drive out movie: Baraka
The word Baraka means blessing in many languages. In 1992, Ron Fricke made this stunning film on 70mm stock. Baraka has no plot, no storyline, no actors, no dialogue nor any voice-over. Baraka is a kaleidoscopic, global compilation of both natural events and by fate, life and activities of humanity on Earth. With a soundtrack made by Dead Can Dance and other noted musical genius, the film is unlike any other I've ever seen.
It's fucking cool.
Movies on the bus are fun. Take your shoes off, bring something to drink or share. We sell 35 tickets, no more. All tickets are in advance though Brown Paper Tickets here:
The bus leaves from Ritual Coffee Roasters on 1026 Valencia street at 8:00 sharp. If your late, and the bus is driving away I've already given your seat away. Sorry.
The bus will rocket to the secret fire house in Pacifica that my friend just rented. We can all slide down the pole like a bunch a dumbasses have intermission, pee all over the place, act outrageously and blame it on the full moon
Watching movies on the bus is totally fun. 2 screens, no waiting. You watch movies, I drive. Girls please pee 47 times within seconds of getting on the bus. We will watch some shorts afterwards or listen to the Ramones and slamdance.
Admission is $20. Only in advance. Contact chicken is ya need to: chickenjohn@chickenjohn.com
