Navigating Your Same Sex Wedding
Ever wondered what to consider when planning a wedding as a same sex couple? What are your options? What are the unique things our community needs to be aware of?
Marriage Equality and 14 Stories are proud to sponsor this exciting FREE event to our community to help answer these questions and plan your perfect day. No sales pitches, just pure advice (and of course snacks and drinks!)
Bernadette Coveney Smith, owner of 14 Stories (www.14stories.org), has been providing marriage and wedding resources to same-sex couples since 2004 though these workshops in order to help them put together the event of their dreams and navigate the unique issues that can arise for member of our community. She currently lives in New York with her wife and son.
This workshop emphasizes the nuts and bolts of wedding planning and reinforces the concept that your wedding is uniquely yours, with your vision, your personality and your own traditions. The evening will be highly interactive, including Q&A with the experts, and you will leave with the confidence and tools to plan your own wedding.
These workshops have received great feedback like, "It was very organized and great information was presented. We appreciated the comfortable, inviting atmosphere and loved meeting other couples that are dealing with their own wedding."
