Dogsbreath Devereaux, the Dastardly Doctor
October 16, 17 and 18 we are pleased to bring you the classic melodrama "Dogsbreath Devereaux, the Dastardly Doctor".
Dogsbreath Devereaux, M.D., plots to wed and do away with the wealthy widow Lotta Cash so he can inherit her fortune and her late husband's clinic. He enlists the aid of the nasty nurse, Hilda Hatchet, and promises to marry her once he disposes of Lotta. Problems arise with the insanely jealous Hilda catches Dogsbreath flirting with Wendy March, the heroine of our show. It seems only our hero, Dr. Phil Good, can save Wendy and the unsuspecting Lotta Cash from certain death. Set in a clinic filled with zany patients, this melodrama is sure to leave youin "stitches".
We will be presenting this show as a fundraiser with net proceeds to go towards the purchase of a new "Hearing Loop" system for the theater. Once in place, this new system will allowthose with hearing aids to enjoy all of our shows! To learn more about the Hearing Loop system visit otojoy.com.
Each show will be proceeded by a half hour reception with appetizers and libations included in the ticket price. Tickets are $20.00 general admission, $15 senior or student and available online, at Seastrand (919 Linden Ave., with cash or check only) and at the theater box office one hour prior to showtime.
