30th Anniversary Gala Fundraiser
Come and celebrate 30 years of joy and unity with the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir.
The evening will include hors d'oeuvres , a special performance by the OIGC Ensemble, a silent auction, and much more!
OIGC was founded in 1986, inspired by Terrance Kelly and the renowned, annually occurring Jazz Camp West. This multifaceted choir brings together vocalists and instrumentalists of varying ethnicities, a plethora of faiths and age groups, all in solidarity with a common appreciation for black spiritual traditions. With members ranging from Jewish to Muslim to atheist, OIGC can be seen as a triumph in diversity.
The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir has for years established itself as a powerhouse advocate for art, diversity, and community service in the Bay Area. This past July 2015, the group completed a three-country European tour, with performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, three sold-out shows Molde Jazz Festival in Norway, and one at Godthaabskirken in Denmark.
