WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?
This play by Edward Albee is being directed by Vincent Rhomberg. It won both the Tony Award for Best Play and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play in 1963. In 2012 it won the Best Revival Award on Broadway. The 1966 film adaptation was directed by Mike Nichols and starred Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, George Segal, and Sandy Dennis. The dialogue of the play has been hailed by some critics as some of the greatest in all of American theater. The play examines the breakdown of the relationship of a middle aged couple, Martha and George. Late one evening. after a university faculty party, they receive an unwitting younger couple as guests, and draw them into their bitter and frustrating relationship. Mature Content
