"Oriyas of Greater Seattle" presents SAMSARA: THE CYCLE OF LIFE
SAMSARA: THE CYCLE OF LIFE is an Odissi dance performance by Shibani Patnaik  benefiting the Summer Youth Leadership Program (SYLP) of the Northwest Asian Weekly Foundation  and TASVEER's Independent South Asian Film Festival in Seattle.

Shibani has been extensively trained in Odissi under the guidance of  Late Guru Padmashree  Gangadhar Pradhan and Gurus Aruna Mohanty, Manoranjan Pradhan, and Yudhistir  Nayak from the Orissa Dance Academy. Along with her sisters, she  has presented Odissi at numerous dance festivals, conventions, museums, and universities.

After event Reception:

There will be an opportunity for a brief interaction with the artists at the end of the program between 6 pm to 7 pm. at the reception hall of the Rainier Valley Cultural Center (downstairs). Refreshments and snacks will be provided at a discounted

Location and Parking:

The Rainier Valley Cultural Center  is located in Southeast Seattle, near Rainier Avenue South, at 3515 South Alaska Street. It is within 1 block of three King County Metro bus stops, and just 3 blocks from the Columbia City Link Light rail station on Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
The Rainier Valley Cultural Center's parking lot can accommodate 15 cars.
Additional parking is available on-street, and in commercial parking lots nearby on Rainier Avenue.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for $50 and up. For each increment of $50, a sponsor also receives a ticket to the show (so, a sponsorship of $100 garners 2 tickets).
