MUJERES, ZA! & FURGUSON IN CONCERT
MUJERES Four gentlemen from Barcelona met at university and had the brilliant idea to form a band. The band is known for a mix of punk, garage, rock & roll and maybe even a little blues and rockabilly. It is fast, exhilarating and fun. Within a year of releasing their self- titled debut they had a full touring schedule that took them all over the world. Mujeres is pure fun, for the band and the audience. You don't even have to know the songs to sing and jump along. They will present their brand new album 'Soft Gems' (Sones, 2012). ZA! A band from Barcelona composed by 2 people and 7 instruments (drums, guitar, keyboard, voice, trumpet, kalimba, sampler). Their music combines african beats, noise, thick distortions, vocal loops, free jazz, balinese polyryhtms, math rock, Dadaism. the result is unique each night. They have played with free jazz artists Peter Brötzmann and Paal Nilssen Love as well as Zu and Delorean.
Furguson A band that shows great taste in combining melody and post-punk elements. The results from this exciting combination would be somewhere in between HEALTH, Delorean and The Rapture. Their potential have been ratified this 2011 in the three songs they included in the Split EP shared with Aliment. These three tracks retain the infectious drive that provides greatness to Furguson's melodies. The rhythm section has won presence and both guitars and synthesizers are heard with more clarity.
