J.C. Clements
Born in Southern Indiana, J. C. Clements was playing guitar at a local music store at the young age of 12 when she was spotted by a nephew to Lonnie Mack. When she heard his music she was hooked! As soon as she turned 21 she moved north and quickly found her place in the Chicago blues scene. She landed side man gigs with A. C. Reed and Shirley King, daughter to blues great B. B. King. She founded her own band releasing two great albums. The second one, with legendary musicians such as George Baze, Brother John Kattke, Pookie Young from Lil' Ed, Matt Skoller, and many more. She has shared the stage with greats like Wayne Baker Brooks, Quintus McCormick, and Sugar Blue. She earned the honor of fronting the house jam band at Buddy Guy's Legends for 2 years and moved out of Chicago back to her roots to develop artistically with her changing style, Americana.
