We are excited to announce that Michelle Jeffrey Delk, Registered Landscape Architect and Director of Landscape Architecture for Snohetta NYC, will be speaking at our Fall Lecture.
Michelle's fascination of the urban environment and its influence on people's lives has lead to fourteen years of public space design throughout North America, often emphasizing social and experiential opportunities. She seeks to discover and expand upon the urban landscape vernacular to further enable positive dialog between our current and future urban vision.
Currently, Michelle is leading the design of the New Calgary Public Library Plaza, the Willamette Falls Riverwalk and Oak Plaza, part of a development project in downtown San Francisco. She also is working closely on the French Laundry Garden Renovation, the Penn District Master Plan and the Temple Library Landscape.
Please join us on Tuesday, October 20 at Luce Loft in Downtown San Diego for a social hour starting at 6pm followed by the lecture.
Thank you again to our 2015 Lecture Series sponsors for allowing us to continuing learning and exploring together as a chapter: Anonymous, KTU+A Planning + Landscape Architecture, Rick Engineering Company, Spurlock Poirier Landscape Architects, Wimmer Yamada and Caughey, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., Schmidt Design Group, and the Office of James Burnett Landscape Architecture.
