True Stories Lounge
Celebrate great true-story telling and performance at the True Stories Lounge!  Join us March 2 at the Make Out Room.  Doors at 7:00pm, showtime at 7:30pm.

Our exciting lineup, including a bonus treat:

Heather Donohue, who is best known as the female lead in 1999's runaway hit,  "The Blair Witch Project," left acting, moved to northern California and joined a pot farm, which inspired her hilarious new memoir, "Grow Girl."

Rose Aguilar, host of "Your Call," a far-ranging daily public affairs show on NPR-affiliate KALW 91.7, is the author of "Red Highways: A Liberal's Journey into the Heartland," and a columnist for TruthOut.
Michael Ybarra, extreme sports columnist for the Wall Street Journal,  is a veteran journalist (L.A. Times, Washington Post) and author of "Washington Gone Crazy: Senator Pat McCarran and the Great American Communist Hunt."

Katie Hafner, long-time writer (the New York Times, Time magazine, Business week, etc.) on technology and society, is the author of half a dozen non-fiction books on subjects that range from Cyberpunks to the pianist Glenn Gould and his obsessive quest for the perfect piano.

John Rinaldi, a San Francisco musician, activist, organizer, comic, actor and agitator, is the author of  "The Book of the Is," a wildly creative collection of essays.

Sheerly Avni, film and culture writer, is a former editor of Salon.com and a contributor to many publications, as well as the author of "Cinema by the Bay," an in-depth look at Bay area filmmakers, and a facilitator and editor of a weekly publication by and for incarcerated youth.

Finally, our bonus treat: By popular demand, the True Stories Lounge is bringing back Marilyn Pittman (host of "Out in the Bay" on KALW) who will perform part of her award-winning solo show, a comedyyes, comedyabout her parents' murder-suicide:  "It's All the Rage."
