Jon Raskin - Carla Harryman CD release performance for "Open Box" plus Pamela Z

Music, poetry, electronics & performance meet in a special CD release concert for Jon Raskin (ROVA)and Carla Harryman's CD "Open Box" on John Zorn's Tzadik label. Using Harryman's texts as scores for musicial interpretation and voice, and with an all-star ensemble of Aurora Josephson, Ava Mendoza, Gino Robair, Jon Shuirba and Roahm Sheikhani, they animate the connections between music and language. Opening the evening will be one of the giants of San Francisco's music/performance art scene, the always-amazing Pamela Z.
