Pirate Lives! The Musical
This April, we welcome back past Flat Earth collaborator David Marino as he takes the helm of our first-ever foray into musical theatre -- the premier production of his parodic farce Pirate Lives! The Musical! Poking sly fun at the dramatic oeuvre of Noel Coward, and with a tip of the hat to Gilbert and Sullivan, Marino's salty sea saga introduces a befuddled party of upperclass pleasure-seekers to life aboard a pirate ship. In the midst of his unusual crew, Captain Jonathan Emerald Sherry must navigate otherworldly encounters, romantic entanglements, secret identities, and even phrenology as he charts a course to confront his own cowardice and reclaim his reputation on the high seas.
