Blue Window
Its New York in the 80's, and Libby is planning a party for a varied assortment of six friends. The guests include a songwriter, a novelist and her lesbian partner, a skydiver, a singer, and a member of her therapy group.
They make up an odd mix, full of comic situations and social missteps. Glib and witty banter gives way to revelation as each character reveals the "blue window" that represents the uncertain decision point in their life.
Fast-paced and inventive dialogue marks this early work by Craig Lucas, the renowned author of "Prelude to a Kiss", "Light in the Piazza" and the new musical "Aemelie".
