TO THE RISING SUN - Concert Workshop Performance
Tsidii Le Loka, Tony Award nominated star of Broadway's long-running smash, The Lion King, is the powerful lead voice of "Circle of Life" on the Grammy Award-winning original cast album of the musical. She will present a unique workshop performance of selections from her new show in development, To The Rising Sun, featuring new music arrangements and an inspiring message for a new age. Join Tsidii for an exclusive experience featuring music from her authentic roots of Southern Africa and beyond, the music of Nina Simone and Odetta, along with the poetry of Maya Angelou. The presentation will feature an instrumental rhythm section led by Odetta's former accompanist, Dave Keyes and a vocal ensemble directed by Tsidii Le Loka.
