Furiously Missing / Jr. Varsity
We perform narrative driven long-form improv that helps the audience remember what they're missing, simple as that. Our shows tend to focus on the every day relationships between people - those slice-of-life moments that may not seem all-important as they're happening, but the ones you'll look back on and realize - yeah, it was then when I realized I really loved her, when I found out I wanted to be a garbage man for my whole life, or when I decided I didn't need to be scared of water anymore and could stop drinking orange juice.
AND
Junior Varsity is a house team from the Magnet Theater in New York City, formed in 2007 by their director, Armando Diaz. They have established themselves as one of NYCs most traveled improv groups. BAR NONE!! They have performed at improv festivals in North Carolina, Toronto, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Boston, Providence and Rochester. Members of Junior Varsity teach/coach/direct improv throughout NYC and have written/worked for Comedy Central, Second City, TimeOut NY and more. Their fun style & zen energy have made them consistent crowd pleasers. After playing together for so many years, Junior Varsity must really like each other. (Or are too lazy to break up.)
