King Friday / Imaginary Friends
King Friday is a Philly Improv Theater House Team, and performs some of the best long form improv Philadelphia has to offer. Our shows are completely made up on the spot; nothing is prepared beforehand. We take a single-word suggestion from the audience and craft a half hour show full of engaging characters and hilarious stories.
We began in September of 2009 as a Philadelphia Fringe Festival entry, performing the legendary show created by Del Close, 3 Mad Rituals. Now as a Philly Improv Theater house team, King Friday performs the first two Saturdays of every month as a part of PHIT's House Team Nights, and hosts their own pay what you can show the third Thursday of every month at locations all around Philadelphia.
Notable performances include the Philly Fringe Festival, Del Close Marathon (NYC), Chicago Improv Festival, F Harold Festival (Philly), and the Boston Improv Festival.
