Beekeeping 101
Thinking about bees? Take the in-depth two session course Beekeeping 101 in time to order your bees for the season and the results will be as sweet as honey. This classroom-based course offers beginning beekeepers an introduction to honeybee anatomy and behavior, an overview of honey bee castes and races, hive function and construction, neighborly relations, disease and pests, local beekeeping resources and much more.
Cost for the 2 week course Beekeeping 101 is $40. It will be held on Tuesday evenings March 6 and 13 from 6:30 8:30 P.M. at WSU Skagit County Extension, 11768 Westar Lane, Ste A, Burlington WA 98233.
