Welcome Marionettes present Peter & the Wolf
Welcome Marionettes was founded by Laura Scott Carroll, a second generation puppeteer. Laura's parents, Walter and Le Scott, created and performed the "Scott Marionettes" from 1929 until 1949. The Scotts traveled throughout the western U.S. entertaining at schools and theaters with a magical blend of engineering and artistry that brought the hand carved marionettes to life. Tragically the popular marionette show was destroyed by fire in 1949 and never reconstructed.
Working to reinstate the family puppetry tradition, Laura has been building marionettes for over 15 years. Together with her husband Mike Carroll and friend and neighbor BettyAnn Abeid she established "Welcome Marionettes". We are pleased to bring this traditional form of entertainment to life once again!
