In an exciting collaboration with the Bellevue Girlchoir and Bellevue Boychoir, our March concert, titled "A Day in the Life", presents music and texts that celebrate the daily journey from morning to night.
Each chorus will perform separately and then join in John Rutter's eloquent "Mass of the Children" for adult and children's choirs and small chamber ensemble, with guest soloists Jonathan Silvia, baritone, and Ginger Ellingson, soprano.
The Bellevue Youth Choirs will perform Russian, Thai, Philippine and Georgian folk songs, "Wachet Auf" by J. S. Bach, "The Seal Lullaby" by Eric Whitacre, and more. Bellevue Chamber Chorus will perform "Ecco mormorar londe" by Monteverdi, "Afternoon On a Hill" by Eric Barnum, and Eric Whitacre's setting of Margaret Wise Brown's iconic childrens story "Goodnight Moon", originally premiered by the Chorus in December of 2012.
