Set in the Gunma prefecture in Japan, this live-action adaptation of the hugely popular Japanese manga/anime series of the same title, featuring the film debut of Asian superstar Jay Chou, concerns a young tofu-delivery driver named Takumi Fujiwara. He has incredible skill in taking on the hairpin curves of Mt. Akina (Mt. Haruna in real-life). The film chronicles his evolution from an uninterested delivery boy into a hardened touge racer. It is street car racing that you have never seen before. Winner of Best Special Effects for Hong Kong Film Award.
