Sex, Drugs, & Rock 'n Roll Fundraiser
First of all, we want to thank you for being here. Your support is the only way we can keep pumping out awesome theatre productions, and we can't say it enough. Secondly, with your admission comes not only a feeling of grand purpose and a sick night of performances, but also door prizes and A FREE DRINK to start off Saint Patty's Day with a bang.

This is set to be a fun and awesomely interactive evening of exhibitions and performances designed to showcase the three original works in Copious Love's premier season. The fundraiser is aptly themed "Sex, Drugs, & Rock n' Roll" as our first three plays seemed to fall into each category perfectly. The program will feature return performances from "The Way I See It," "Sweet&Decent/Dark&Twisty," and a sneak peek, complete with musical accompaniment, of their upcoming musical, "Alice's Anthem;" a completely original musical production with enormous aspirations, premiering June 2012.

This event is taking place on Saturday, March 17th, 2012, as a St. Patrick's Day blowout at The Ballard Underground, which is dedicated to the work of up-and-coming local theatre organizations, as well as being the space that housed Copious Love's first season. Our collective of producers, players, musicians, and artists are banding together to showcase Copious Love Productions, and to raise funds for the continuation of original works. The event will be hosted by Male of Honor Roger Winters of "Sweet&Decent/Dark&Twisty," and will include a conversation with the founders of Copious Love, a silent and a live auction in addition to a musical performance by Seattle group Vox Maquinista.

Edible delicacies will be catered by Brad Kelleher of Tilth and Tyler Rodrick of Restaurant Zoe. In addition to a generous gift certificate for auction to Maria Hines' Ballard restaurant, The Golden Beetle, conveniently located only five blocks from The Ballard Underground.

The success and momentum of Copious Love Productions' first two plays is a double-edged sword. With their first season finale planned to be a musical extravaganza, there is a mountain to climb when assessing the financials as the troupe hopes to make no exceptions in their grandiose goals for the world premier of "Alice's Anthem". Proceeds will also contribute to the perpetuation of our sophomore season, which is set to open with our newest play "Cedar and the Redwoods".

According to Copious Love, "We include everything that we find ourselves wanting to see more of when going to see theatre; sex, broken boundaries, comedy, audience participation, burlesque, love, shame, pride and humanity; real honest situations that come at really inopportune times."

Says Executive Producer Sarco, "Our first season has exceeded our wildest expectations, and we are so excited to be able to share it with a broader range of local artists and sponsors."
