CDE Presents The Heart Knows

Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble kicks off their 15th season with The Heart Knows, an evening of site-specific multidisciplinary works created by female artists centered on love, loss and longing, staged promenade-style in the alcoves of CDE's performance auditorium at the 107-year-old Ebenezer Lutheran Church.

Performances include CDE's founder Ellyzabeth Adler, RE/Dance, J. Lindsay Brown Dance, Mignon McPherson Stewart, VADCO/Valerie Alpert Dance Company, and Michelle Shafer with CDE's Artistic Director Sara Maslanka.

The Heart Knows is a part of the 20th Annual Chicago Artists Month, October 1 November 15, 2015, which highlights the work of hundreds of artists throughout the city with performances, exhibitions, open studios, tours and neighborhood art walks. As people come here to discuss the state of architecture, the CAM 2015 theme The City as Studio looks at Chicago as a place for investigation, experimentation, innovation and production, and encourages a dialogue with the inaugural Chicago Architecture Biennial.
