Panel Discussion - Retail Branding
Our February event is a panel discussion on the topic retail branding and building relationships with your customers. Is the retail business approachable? Can it be branded more effectively? This event is for anyone who works in retail business, or has their own business selling either to consumers or other businesses. To learn more on how well to relate to customers and understand customers' apprehensions, and tools to overcome them. To expand the knowledge on how to build relationships with your customers. Our panelists are: Timothy K. Mantz -
Timothy K. Mantz has been the Chair of the College of Business at Argosy University, Seattle for over one year. Before joining Argosy University, he trained and consulted for multiple organizations including the Microsoft, Pepsi, Techtronix, Intel, GAP, and several politicions. Tim has also spent 7 years in academia teaching, conducting research and consulting in areas such as Marketing, Strategy, Consumer Behavior, Consumer Decision Making, Positioning, Percieved Value, and Entrepreneurship. Tim has taught in the graduate business programs of the Warner Pacific University, Concordia University, Keller Graduate School and Marylhurst University. Timothy holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Marketing from Argosy University, a Masters Business Administration (MBA) from UOP, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising from Pratt Institute.
Dr. Felicia Guity -
Argosy Graduate and Microsoft employee Dr. Felicia Guity is an EBONY Outstanding Women in Marketing and Communications Awards winner, as well as a local philanthropist. Felicia is a single mother of two and finished her doctorate at Argosy while working full time at Microsoft. Guity joined Microsoft in 2003 and is responsible for the company's worldwide channel marketing and incentives for OEM Platform and Silicon partners like Intel.
"You really have to be aware of how you think and process information. Critical thinking in the marketing area and having vision is very important," Guity said.
Cliff Butler -
Cliff Butler has a DBA from Nova Southeastern University, (FL); an MBA from Golden Gate University(CA); and a BS degree from Cal Poly State University. I also have over half of my credits completed for a PhD in Industrial/organizational Psychology from Capella University (MN) where he currently serves full time as a Core Faculty member and the Methodology Research Lead. He serve as a IRB reviewer for dissertation proposals and has served as a dissertation chair for over 45 studies. He has taught at the DBA and MBA level for Argosy since 2006 and South University since 2007.
Cliff has worked in mid level management, mostly at the director level for companies such as Donrey Media Group, The Seattle Times, Proquest, International Thompson Publishing, Apex Online Learning, Checkspace, aQuantive (Atlas) and Microsoft (which acquired aQuantive).
