Preaching Conference 2012

We gather between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., have Morning Prayer at 9:00 a.m., and then promptly start at 9:30 a.m. The morning has been designed in this manner because I know for some, getting there by 9:30 a.m. will mean leaving early. If you can arrive earlier, we can enjoy a cup of coffee and prayer together. Our day will end at 2:30 p.m., again with the aim of allowing everyone to get home at a reasonable hour.
Our speaker this year is The Very Reverend Peter Moore, founder of Focus Ministry and past Dean of Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry. Peter serves currently at St. Michael's in Charleston and is an adjunct professor of homiletics at Trinity School for Ministry. He is also a gifted academic and author of several books and articles including the award-winning Disarming the Secular Gods: How To Talk So Skeptics Will Listen. He earned his degrees from Yale, Oxford, Episcopal Theological School, and Fuller Theological Seminary.
You can register three ways: mail a check to the Cathedral of All Saints, made out to the Cathedral with "preaching conference" in the memo line, call the Cathedral office using your credit card, or go online via the Cathedral website and register. To provide you the online convenience there is a service charge. I am sorry about that fee, but the other two methods have no such charge and rather than raise the cost to everyone, the Cathedral is trying to keep the cost low.
