About the Workshop
This workshop, by Kurt Lancaster, the author of "DSLR Cinema: Crafting the Film Look with Video," will cover these main topics:
- The importance of the story: Story structure is tool number one. - Basics of the DSLR: Aperture, shutter speed, color balance - The importance of the image: Shaping a compelling story, visually. What is the difference between just shooting video and shooting video cinematically? How can you produce good looking shots with a $600 camera? Using picture styles. - The importance of sound: How important is sound? How can you record audio that's good enough for professional use? - The kind of gear you need and how to use what you already have to effectively shoot professional-quality video.
